Taking Part: What You Need to Know
Kate McWilliam School of Movement
Welcome! To help everyone have a safe, fun, and rewarding experience, here is some important info about what to wear, how to participate, and staying safe during classes.
What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothes that let you move freely - leggings, shorts, fitted tops, or leotards all work well.
For safety and visibility, hair should be tied back securely.
Depending on the class, you can be barefoot or wear suitable footwear like dance shoes or grip socks.
Please avoid wearing jewellery or accessories that might cause injury or damage our equipment.
Joining In
Try to arrive on time and ready to get involved fully in each session.
We encourage participation at every level—this helps keep everyone safe and makes learning more enjoyable.
If you have any injuries or medical conditions that might affect your class, please let your coach know at the start of the session.
We ask all students to treat their fellow students, staff, and the venue with respect at all times.
Staying Safe
Please listen carefully to instructions to help avoid injury.
Coaches may adapt activities to fit individual abilities and health needs.
If you ever have any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to speak with your coach or staff—we’re here to help!
